I was so sad to hear about Kent’s passing. I have such great memories growing up as neighbors and working together as lifeguards at the City Pool. Kent had that infectious smile! You will be missed my friend. RIP Kelli Burton- Borer

First, I would like to send my condolences to the family. Coach Ramey was one of my favorite coaches. He had a way to inspire and build confidence in you. I guess what I remember the most is that foot stomp in those dress shoes that would echo in the gym, and you knew he wanted your attention when you heard that! My heart is sad for your family coach. Deepest sympathy, Kirk

Paul and Kathy Stroud were so sorry to learn of the passing of Kent. He was an outstanding athlete, teacher, and basketball coach. Through the years since winning the 1988 IHSAA Sectional with Kent leading the team I have told many people that Kent was the best high school basketball player I ever coached. I was pleased that when I left Mitchell High School that Kent was chosen to take my teaching job and help coach basketball. He was simply a great guy and will be sorely missed by many. Our condolences go out to all of Kent’s family members and friends. RIP dear friend, Kurt and Scott Kathy and I are sorry we won’t be able to make the memorial gathering on Wednesday. We will be in Marion to watch our granddaughter play basketball. I know Kent would want us to do that. Please announce the Burial Service as we certainly want to attend.
