BEDFORD – Kyle Gene Wolcott, 37, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at his residence.

Born September 12, 1986, in Bedford, he was the son of Brian Gene Wolcott and Angela Kay (Kenney) Cundiff.

Kyle was a 2005 graduate of Mitchell High School.  He was a mechanic at Firestone in Evansville.  He enjoyed playing guitar, working on cars, riding motorcycles, and tinkering around the house.  Kyle loved anything related to Superman.

Surviving are his children, Gabriella Renee Wolcott of Mitchell and Avalynn Dean Armella of Oregon; father, Brian Gene Wolcott of Mitchell; mother, Angie (Tony) Cundiff of Bedford; maternal grandmother, Sharon Ray of Bedford; paternal grandmother, Sandra Cox of Mitchell; paternal grandfather, Ronnie Gene Wolcott of Oklahoma; brother, Bryce William Wolcott of Bedford; half-brother, Zachary Nathaniel Wolcott of Greenwood; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

His paternal grandfather, Charles Neal Cox, Sr., and maternal grandfather, Jerry Lee Kenney, preceded him in death.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 19, at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.  Cremation will follow.

    I'm so sorry. I don't have words however even being an ex wife of Kevin, I hate this. I love you all and can't fathom this loss. I remember his birth..7 days apart for him and Justin.     Kyle was always finding unique things to tinker with. His desire to know how things worked and to fix them if they were broken was inspiring. We shared a lot in that respect. I will miss him greatly.
