BLOOMINGTON – Laura Diane (Horton) McCracken, 64, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.

Born October 31, 1957, in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, she was the daughter of Thomas and Pauline (Myers) Horton.

Laura was a 1985 graduate of Orleans High School and previously worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant.  She enjoyed crocheting and loved old classic movies.

Surviving are her children, Roger McCracken, Jr. of Mitchell and Rachel (Titus) Hughett of Borger, Texas; grandchildren, Emma Hughett of Amarillo, Texas and Caleb Hughett of Borger, Texas; brothers, Peter J. Horton of Mitchell, William “Scott” Horton of Terre Haute, and Allen Horton of Chicago, Illinois.

Her parents and brothers, Richard Horton and Glenn Horton, preceded her in death.

Cremation has been chosen.

A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2022 at Proctor Cemetery.
