BLOOMFIELD – Lela Mae (Dotts) Helms, 78, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington.

Born January 7, 1945, in Mitchell, she was the daughter of Mancil Charles and Hautice Stella (Mustain) Dotts.  Lela married Marvin King Helms April 16, 1993 and he preceded her in death May 5, 2016.

Lela worked at RCA and had been self-employed as a caregiver.  She enjoyed the services of Springs Valley Wesleyan Church.  Lela loved listening to music and being with family.

Surviving are her children, Dennis Dewayne Bradley of West Baden, Randall Joe Bradley of West Baden, and Rhonda Sue (Wayne) Bashaw of Hardinsburg; grandchildren, Brandi (Will) Smith, Christina (Tim) Dickerson, Nathan (Ashley) Bradley, Steven Bradley, Brittany (Jazz) Bashaw, Shelby (Marc) Samsil, and Robert (Ashley) White; siblings, Roger Dotts of Mitchell, Ruth Allen of Mitchell, Linda Edwards of Mitchell, and Kathy (Guy) Blake of Mitchell; bonus children, Ron and Veronica Day of Bloomfield; and ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Her parents; husband; son, Daniel Keith Bradley; grandson, Adam Bradley; siblings, David Dotts, Gini Chandler, Robert Dotts, Lee Dotts, Roy Dotts, and Stella Eisele; and sister-in-law, Ann Dotts, preceded her in death.

Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 6, at Mitchell Cemetery with Mike Scalf officiating.  Burial will follow.

    So sorry to hear Til passed away! Enjoyed visiting Uncle Mancil & Aunt Hautice & had so much running around with Til! We shared a bed when I was there & giggled just about all night! Many injoyable memories! RIP Til
