CAMPBELLSBURG Lenette Ann Hopkins Guthrie, 64, Campbellsburg, passed away at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, August 21, 2010, at her residence.

Born January 22, 1946, in rural Mitchell, she was the daughter of Leonard and Anna Rowena (Gilstrap) Hopkins. Lenette was united in marriage on November 26, 1965, to Thomas L. Guthrie at Leipsic EUB Church.

She was a graduate of Orleans High School (1964), held an associate degree from IUS and a bachelors degree in human resource management from Oakland City University. She worked at several jobs including Holland Dairy, Hoosier Hills Pact and Hoosier Uplands as an Ombudsman. She excelled at bookkeeping and was church treasurer for many years and township bookkeeper. She enjoyed many hobbies including stained glass, painting, and her pilots license and flying. Her greatest love was for her family, her grandchildren, and her Lord.

She was a member of Sugar Creek Christian Church and attended Mt. Carmel Christian Church. Despite poor health for many years, she was a blessing to all who knew her.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 25, at Mt. Carmel Christian Church with Rev. Don Allen and Rev. Lindy Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Chastain Funeral Home and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the church.
