MITCHELL –Leroy Vanscoy, 74, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018, at his residence.

Born July 9, 1944, in Saint Paul, Indiana, he was the son of Henry Lee and Vera Lillian (Gahimer) Vanscoy.  He married Lillian Rose Southworth April 6, 1966.

Leroy was a tool and die maker and self-employed for 15 years.  He enjoyed caving.

Leroy was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9107.

His parents and sisters, Lorell, Priscilla, Sharon, and Beverly Vanscoy, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 9,  at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.  Cremation will follow.

    Sorry to hear of your loss. Leroy and I went to school together at Moscow. In same grade thru 1st to 8th grade. Then both stationed at Ft. Knox, KY before we each went separately to Vietnam. Prayers for your family.
