MITCHELL – Lorna Lee Mitchell, 75, passed away Friday, October 1, 2021, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born October 17, 1945, she was the daughter of Francis Reed and Virginia Ruth (Rogers) McKown.  She married Buddy Glenn Mitchell May 4, 1998, and he preceded her in death January 16, 2004.

Lorna had been employed at Standard Oil Company, Mitchell Manor, and Wal-Mart.  She was a member of the Mitchell Church of the Nazarene.  She graduated from Washington High School in 1963.

                           son, Jeffrey Alan Foster of Washington

                                  8 grandchildren

                                 10 great-grandchildren

Her parents; husband; and brother and sister-in-law, Roger (Judy) McKown, preceded her in death.

Cremation was chosen with burial in Lawrenceport Cemetery.

    To the family of our sweet, precious Lorna, we send our sincerest condolences. Lorna loved her family so much and prayed for them with every breath she took. She was so very proud of her grandkids and wanted to much for them to love Jesus. She is now in heaven, holding on tight to Jesus. We will miss her; but look forward to seeing her again.
