Mapha was my neighbor when I was a little girl on S. Meridian Road. She was always such a sweet person with a kind heart. More recently, I would visit with Mapha at Mitchell Manor when I was visiting with my Dad, Ray Blackerby. I know of no kinder person than sweet Mapha. She is now enjoying eternity with my Dad.

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember fondly when Mapha would visit mom (Toots VanMeter) and I would be there, and also when we would visit her and Emily at the farm. There was always lots of laughter and food. Mom told me numerous times about the fabulous trip they took together to Mackinac Island. I know that was one of her favorite vacations. I loved Mapha and enjoyed visiting with her as she was always laughing and in a good mood.

Mapha was a huge part of our family for many years. She was such a loving and beautiful person and someone I will always hold close in my heart. Her and mom are probably still watching our every move. They have wings now to give us a swat with if we step out of line. I love you Mapha, Rest in peace XOXO
