MITCHELL – Marie E. Hallagan Wampler, 89, Mitchell, formerly of Bloomington, passed away at 5:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Jim Richardson.
Born September 7, 1917, in Steuben County, she was the daughter of Glen and Elta Carol (Urey) Myers. She married James Harold Hallagan June 9, 1940, and he preceded her in death November 23, 1951. She then married Harold Wampler July 17, 1954, and he preceded her in death July 26, 1976.
She worked at Indiana University Health Center as a Registered Nurse, X-ray technician, and laboratory technician. She retired in 1980 with 36 years of service.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Bloomington and a former member of Order of Eastern Star.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 10, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Brother Max Timbrook officiating. Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. at Valhalla Memory Gardens, Bloomington.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
