MITCHELL – Marie Prosser, 89, Mitchell, passed away at 12:25 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2005, at Dunn Memorial Hospital, Bedford.
Born December 5, 1915, in Orange County, she was the daughter of Archie and Cynthia (Moffitt) Williams. She married Leland V. Prosser July 4, 1935, and he preceded her in death December 3, 1989.
She was a homemaker and a 1934 graduate of Mitchell High School. In May, she observed 76 years as a member of Spice Valley Baptist Church.

Her parents; husband; brothers, Ray, Fay, Roy, and Clay Williams; and a great grandson preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a. m. Saturday, July 2, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Rev. Lewis D. Williams officiating. Entombment will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday and from 10:00 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
