MITCHELL – Mark Alan Duncan, 70, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Majestic Care of Bedford.
Born July 11, 1955, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Bradley and Georgia (Shirley) Duncan.
Mark was self-employed with Duncan Construction. He enjoyed going to the Mitchell Senior Citizens Center.
Surviving are his children, Lena Smith of Mitchell, Corbin Gosnell of Mitchell, and Selena Duncan of Texas; grandchildren, Tianna Storm, Brooklyn Eisele, Kelsey Eisele, and Ashley King; seven great-grandchildren; and siblings, Leroy Duncan of Mitchell, Rita Gilstrap of Florida, and Jennifer Duncan of Bedford.
His parents and siblings, Bradley Eugene Duncan, Sheila Gilstrap, Monte Duncan, and Clifford Duncan, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 5, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Dwight Dunbar officiating. Burial will be at Mitchell Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sunday, January 4, and from 10:00 a.m. until the service on Monday at the funeral home.
