MITCHELL – Mary Elizabeth Kirkman, 85, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at Mitchell Manor.
Born June 6, 1934, in Lancaster, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Tommie L. and Fannie E. (Naylor) Broaddus. She married the love of her life, James R. Kirkman August 16, 1981, and he preceded her in death March 4, 2017.
Mary worked as a bookkeeper, bank teller, and office manager. Her hobbies were working in her yard and gardens, and watching the Koi in their pond. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Mary’s surviving family includes one daughter and two sons of Muncie; one stepdaughter; one stepson; several grandchildren, step grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Her parents, husband, sister, three stepchildren, a granddaughter, two great grandsons, and a stepson-in-law preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 17, at Haverly Funeral Chapel. Cremation will follow. Burial will in Liberty Baptist Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, January 23rd.
