PLATTSMOUTH, NEBRASKA – Mary Kathleen Lake, 92, formerly of Mitchell, passed away March 12, 2016, at Midlands Hospital in Papillion.
Born June 12, 1923, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Eli Preston and Mahala Jane (McClintock) Pavey. She married Darrell Lake August 21, 1944, and he preceded her in death August 26, 2000.
Mary was a homemaker and the ninth of ten children, all of whom preceded her in death.
Surviving is a son, Gary G. Lake, of Elkhorn, Nebraska
Her parents; husband; son, Darrell Lake, Jr.; and siblings, Elmer Pavey, Lena Yaskowski, Jesse Pavey, Leonard Pavey, Earl Pavey, Eva Fay Pavey, Geneva May McMahon, Wesley Pavey, and Maxine Sampson, preceded her in death.
Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Mitchell Cemetery with Brother Jim Russell officiating.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. Friday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
