MITCHELL – Michael Austin Pritchett, 66, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021, at his residence.

Born September 30, 1954, in Bloomington, he was the son of Frederick Austin “Bud” and Ruby Violet (Brassine) Pritchett.  He married Trena Gaines September 6, 2014.

He retired from General Motors with 45 years of service.  Michael enjoyed playing the guitar, woodworking, and the outdoors.  He was a member of Mt. Olive Church of Christ and Stonebelt Stargazers.

Michael was an amazing father, husband, papaw, and friend.  He was loved by so many people and will be dearly missed.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

    I worked with Mike for many years. Always had a wise thing to say about any situation. I watched him in his professional life and his music life. He was always a genuine person no matter what.
