MITCHELL – Michael Gene Hanks, 67,passed away Saturday, February 29, 2020, at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital in Bedford.
Born January 12, 1953, in Ocala, Florida, he was the son of Curtis Dean and Claudine (Graves) Hanks. He married Lee Anna Robbins July 3, 1999, and she preceded him in death February 21, 2015.
Michael enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.

His parents; wife; son, Michael Hanks; and siblings, Gregory McFarland, Rick Hanks, and Jerry Hanks, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 9, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Jason Riggle and Nathan King officiating. Following cremation, burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Monday at the funeral home.
