MITCHELL – Mildred Eloise Tarr, 84, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at her home.
Born March 27, 1937, in Orange County, she was the daughter of Harold and Pearl (Halbert) Lindsey. She married Joseph Marvin Tarr, Sr. May 7, 1953, and he preceded her in death February 19, 1993.
Mildred retired from General Electric and had been employed at Beuler’s IGA. She was a member of the Mitchell Wesleyan Church and a loving mother and grandmother. Mildred was an Elvis fan.

Her parents; husband; children, Benny Tarr, Gail England, Terry Tarr, and Donald Tarr; and grandchildren, Jacob Powell, DJ Tarr, and Andrew Keaton, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 30, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Reverend Steve Jones and Tara Powell officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
The family requests that masks be worn.
