BLOOMINGTON Milton “Smokey” Lynch, 76, 6695 South Harmony Road, Bloomington, passed away at 2:20 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2008, at Bloomington Hospital.

Born June 8, 1931, in Martin County, he was the son of Harry and Louisa (Grimes) Lynch.

He retired from General Electric.

Nancy Baker and husband, Joe, Mitchell

His parents; wife, Mary Jane (Hawkins) Lynch; daughters, Linda Kay Phillips and Matilda Jane Lynch; brothers, John, Keith, Harold, Donald, Harry, Jr., Robert, Paul, Charles, and Freddie Lynch; sisters, Anna Chapman and Mary Jones; and one granddaughter, preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 3, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Bro. Max Timbrook officiating. Burial will be in Bonds Chapel Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
