MITCHELL Nancy C. Burlington, 70, passed away at 12:14 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2012, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.

Born January 18, 1941, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Jesse and Mary Frances (Cole) Lane. She married Estel David Burlington August 12, 1960, and he preceded her in death December 31, 1996.

She had been employed at Spring Mill Inn and attended the Bride of Christ Fellowship.

Terry (Duane) Edmonson, Mitchell
Tonya (Trever) Cooper, Mitchell

Jesse Lane, Mitchell
sister,
Lettie Coffman, Bedford
5 grandchildren
5 great grandchildren

Her parents; husband; brothers, Herschel, Roy, and Elwood Lane; and sister, Betty Kautz, preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 16, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Allen officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3:00 600 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Monday at the funeral home.

    It's hard at times to be an aide when you have to say good bye to some one. But I know Nancy is with the lord because we spoke of him and prayed. I know now the prayers need to be with the ones who are left behind...Nancy would want you all to go one and make her proud. She loved her family and those babies of hers meant the world to her. So to nancy's family just remember she'll want you to just love each other..I know i'll miss her alot . Her and tina were my new members of my family...I loved them both...Take care Nancy and God Be with you...

    It saddens me to see that Nancy has lost her long battle. Just as it saddened me when we lost Pete. Most of her children do not know me, but the one I met at the hospital back in 2005 when my mother shared the same room as Nancy. Pete, Nancy and I would meet at the Eagles in Bedford many years ago. We had good times. It's hard to lose your parents, but life must go on and I'm sure Nancy left a wealth of memories behind. Condolences to you all.
