MITCHELL Olive I. Eager, 101, Mitchell, passed away at 3:03 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at Paoli Health and Living Community.

Born July 23, 1907, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Perry and Emma (York) McCart. She married Ollie H. Eager May 16, 1925, and he preceded her in death April 8, 1991.

She was a homemaker and a member of Spice Valley Baptist Church and the Ladies Mission Circle. Olive was a member of the Spice Valley Home Demonstration Club, volunteer for the American Red Cross Auxiliary and the Pink Ladies at Dunn Memorial Hospital.

Her parents; husband; daughters, Norma Rose Tanksley (Oct. 17, 1999) and infant Betty Louise; infant son, Robert Eugene; sisters, Louise Eggers, Kathryn Wright, Fern Wicker, Bonnie Allen, Jewell Zimmerman; and brothers, Otha, Chriss, Lowell, and William McCart, preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 25, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Rev. Lewis Williams and Brother Stevie Terry officiating . Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday and from 10:00 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
