MITCHELL – Patricia Ann Lindsey, 84, passed away surrounded by family Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at IU Health Bedford Hospital.
Born June 9, 1940, in Mitchell, she was the daughter of Willis Glenn and Isabelle (Brannaman) Sanders. She married Charles Edwin Lindsey on December 10, 1956 and he survives. They were married for 67 years.
Patricia was a member of the Mitchell Wesleyan Church and was very active in her church. She worked most of her adult life until retiring from Dana Incorporated. Upon retirement, Patricia dedicated her life to caring for her grandchildren, helping others in need, visiting yard sales, and spending countless hours working in her flower garden.
Surviving are her husband, Charles Edwin Lindsey of Mitchell; children, Suzi (Don) Wyttenback of Mitchell, Greg Lindsey of Mitchell, and A.J. (Megan) Lindsey of Seymour; grandchildren, Jennifer Davies, Larry Hensley, Dustin Hensley, Leslea Lindsey, Evan Lindsey, Nick Lindsey, Cyrus Lindsey, and Emerson Lindsey; great-grandchildren, Matthew Hensley, Madison Hensley, Charleston Davies, Christian Davies, Emery Lindsey, Novalee Lindsey, Lennox Stephens, London Stephens, and Wiley Nelson; and one great-great-grandchild on the way.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 25, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Steve Jones officiating. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Thursday and from 10:00 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
