MITCHELL – Ralph K. Young, 92, Mitchell, passed away at 5:25 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at his residence.
Born January 16, 1913, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Elizabeth McKinney. He married Helen Blackwell December 29, 1945, and she survives.
He retired from Lehigh Portland Cement Company with 38 years of service, was a graduate of Tunnelton High School, and a member of Spice Valley Baptist Church.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the Army Air Force and was a member of Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 250.

His mother, and daughter, Monta Sue Senger, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 3, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Rev. Lewis D. Williams officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday and from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
