MITCHELL – Raymond Leon “Lee” Freed, Jr., 57, passed away at 9:21 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014, at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital in Bedford.

Born October 10, 1957, in Salem, he was the son of Raymond Leon and Jean (Strange) Freed.

He was employed at Elliott Stone Company and a member of American Legion Post No. 250. He enjoyed riding his Harley, gardening, and building things.

Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, at Mitchell Cemetery with Brother Tom Bostic officiating.

Friends may call from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

    Tiffany, were are thinking of you! Glenora, you, Phyllis, and I go back a long long long ways and we are PRAYING for you. ALWAYS remember the great times, the bad times really don't count anymore. Get the pictures out and RElive those days. Time will not heal the wounds but will make them less noticeable. Times like this "just happen". They are not good, just a part of life its self. You know us. We are ALWAYS here, We do care! Most important right now, TAKE CARE OF GLENORA.

    Hey Glenora, I remember a few years back, I had been out riding with Gary Gore and we got caught in a downpour. We came into the legion and I was freezing! You and Lee were sitting with us and Lee noticed I was cold. He went out to your car and got an extra shirt he had and gave it to me to put on. I thought that was so sweet and thoughtful. I've known you for a thousand years and I know you were happiest when you and Lee came together. Bless your heart. I'm so sorry.
