We we came to the S.W. Indiana District in 1962 Bro. Chastain was already pastoring then. As a rookie pastors we looked up to men like him as examples we could follow. While serving as missionaries in South Africa from, 1965-2003 we were glad to meet with him again when we on 'Home Assignment." We even had the privilege to hold a missionary service in his church at Shoals. Every time we would return to the States we would marvel that he was still pastoring there. What an impact he made on us and the many to who he ministered. May God comfort his wife and family.
