MITCHELL – Richard Allan Morse, 57, passed away Friday, February 14, 2025, at IU Health Bedford Hospital.

Born January 18, 1968, in Lansing, Michigan, he was the son of Victor Allan Morse and Grace Elane (Standfield) Erbb.

Richard loved fishing and eating good food.

Survivors include his children, Megan Morse and Kathrine Morse; father, Victor Morse; mother, Grace Erbb; and siblings, Vickie Morse, Carolynn Morse, Sherri Waterman, Alecia Morse, and April Morse.

Cremation has been chosen.

He was the best father a girl could ask for. No matter what he was supportive and would help me through anything. He showed so much love to my sister and I and all 7 of his grandkids. I miss you so much. I think about you all the time. I wish I had more time with you but I know you are in the most wonderful place and you are no longer in pain.

When we were kids we would have bb gun fights and Richard popped his head up from behind a car in the barn and got shot through the lip and shot his too out spitting it in his hand I was done at that very moment. My condolences to the family.

I am so sorry to hear of Richard’s passing.. we all used to play in mason on Columbia st. Playing till dusk, riding bikes, fishing, kick ball and tad poles in the kiddie pool in the backyard! He was a good kid that didn’t pick on me too much! RIP Richard and fly high my friend
