PORT CHARLOTTE, FLORIDA – Rita Adele Trinkle, 86, formerly of Mitchell, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at ShorePoint Health in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Born December 14, 1936 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Filberto and Pearl (Lane) Rocchi.  Rita married Leroy Trinkle on March 22, 1958 and he preceded her in death June 17, 1990.

Rita was a 1955 graduate of Mitchell High School. She was a homemaker and loved being with family. Rita also enjoyed traveling and watching the sunset.

Survivors include her son Jeff Trinkle of Miami Beach, Florida; granddaughters, Jessica, Shayla, and Pearl; and great grandchildren, Carmen, Claire, Calvin, Carson, Natalie, David, Angel, and Joseph.

Her parents; husband; and son, Harold Trinkle, preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 22, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.  Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from noon until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
