MITCHELL – Robert “Bob” Earl Karr, 72, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2024, at his residence.

Born December 14, 1951, in Mitchell, he was the son of James Edward and Violet Mae (Cooper) Karr.

Bob was a Mitchell High School graduate.  He owned Middle Bar for several years and later worked at Jack’s Lounge.  His grandchildren were his greatest joy and in his final years he had the company of his beloved dog, Rainey.  Bob was a member of the First Christian Church in Mitchell.

Surviving are his daughter, Mackenzie (Anthony) Reeve of Mitchell; grandchildren, Parker Jo Reeve and Harleigh Raine Reeve; siblings, Jimmy (Reedie) Karr of Mitchell and Connie Williams of Mitchell; sister-in-law, Shirley Karr of Camby; and several nieces and nephews.

His parents; brother, Danny Jo Karr; and brother-in-law, Jim Williams, preceded him in death.

Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 26, at Mitchell Cemetery with Pastor Dwight Dunbar officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 25, at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to Hoosier Uplands and nurse Keri, as well as caregiver Jennifer.  Bob also had some very dear friends that were more like family and they will never know how much their love and support has meant to both Bob and the family.

    I've known Bobby since l was very young, l've not seen him for many years, l remember going to his Mom & Dad's house with my Dad, Chester Wood several times, Bobby was awalys fun to be around. I'm sorry l missed his services. May he RIP

    I remember Bobby mostly as a young boy. I would stay all nite with his sister Connie. He would sneak us snacks from the kitchen when we were suppose to be in bed. Child hood memories. Deepest sympathy and prayers for the family.
