MITCHELLRobert Eugene Greer, 72 Mitchell, passed away at 11:57 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2007, at his residence.
Born April 11, 1935, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Lawrence and Agnes (Tow) Greer.
He was a farmer and a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

His parents; brothers, Charles and Gerald Greer; and sister, Mary Frances Carpenter, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 4, at Spice Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Lewis Williams officiating. Burial will be in Spice Valley Cemetery with military honors accorded by Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 250 and Marvin R. Davis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the service on Tuesday at the church.
