CAMPBELLSBURG Robert J. Cook, 61, Campbellsburg, passed away at 1:05 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2008, at Washington County Memorial Hospital in Salem.

Born July 28, 1946, in St. Cloud, Minnesota, he was the son of John Lee and Verona (Hermanson) Cook. He married Deborah J. Austin January 8, 1979.

He was a retired truck driver. A U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a member of Virgil Grimes American Legion Post No. 41 in Salem, and Marvin R. Davis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107, in Mitchell.

His parents and a grandson, Lachlan Adam Cook, preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, at New Covenant Baptist Church in Campbellsburg with Daniel Cleghorn officiating. Burial will be in Hop Cemetery with military honors accorded by Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 250 and Marvin R. Davis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.

Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Tuesday at the New Covenant Baptist Church.
