ORLEANS Robert “Bob” Collier, 79, Orleans, (Bromer Community) passed away Monday, August 23, 2010, at his residence.

Born February 11, 1931, in Champagne-Urbana, Illinois, he was the son of Harry I. and Verna Mae (Chastain) Collier.

Bob was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was a life-long farmer and a member of Carters Creek Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Roger Collier; sisters, Estelle Ellison and Bernice Richardson; and brother, Clarence Collier.

Graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 16, at Mt. Tabor Cemetery with Elder Barry Bishop officiating. Military honors will be accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
