BEDFORD – Roger Staggs, 53, passed away at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.

Born November 4, 1959, in Jacksonville, Florida, he was the son of Douglas A. and Janet (Montieth) Staggs.

He had previously been employed at Bedford Recycling and Bedford Logistics.

His father and brother, Bill Staggs, preceded him in death.

Friends may call from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 28, at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.  Cremation was chosen.

    Roger was one of the kindest men I'd ever had the pleasure to meet. He would help anyone whenever he was able to do so. I remember when he had the shop in Oolitic and Bill and I would need mechanical repairs done. Seemed that he would drop whatever he was doing to begin working on our vehicle. RIP Roger
