MITCHELL – Ronnie Lee Higgs, 65, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.

Born April 17, 1955, in Mitchell, he was the son of Ernest and Orpha (Burton) Higgs.  He married Beverly Ann Sullivan November 16, 1985.

Ronnie retired from Lawrence County Farm Supply.  He was a 20 year member of the Living Water Church of God.  Ronnie loved his family and enjoyed fishing, farming, and working.

His parents; children, Tobey Trinnette Stroud and Edgar Paul Bunch; and sisters, Betty Brim, Virginia Morris, and Shirley Rayhill,  preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 19, at the Living Water Church of God with Pastor Johnny Herald officiating.  Burial will be in Lawrenceport Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Friday at the church.

    Ronnie worked for years at the feed store. He was such a PLEASANT person to talk to.He carried out many bags of horse and bird feed to my truck over the years. I missed him when he retired, but would show up from time to time to help out . I was pleased by this because Ronnie was a fixture of that feed store and it wasn't the same without him. We don't know what we've missed until it's gone and Ronnie's gone from this ole world, but we will see him again. Prayers for the family too.
