MITCHELL Roy David Budd, 78, passed away at 6:57 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center.
Born August 14, 1933, in Bedford, he was the son of Harry and Echo Forest (Donica) Budd. He married Joan Martin September 28, 1957.
He had been a food broker and retired from Carpenter Body Works. Roy was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a former member of the Mitchell-Grissom Kiwanis Club.
He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of American Legion Post No. 250.

His parents; brother, Delbert Budd; and sister, Linda Budd, preceded him in death.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 6, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Rick Eldred officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
Friends may call from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Rosary service will be at 5:30 p.m.
