ORLEANS – Roy Dean “Butch” Passmore, 79, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2026, at Springs Valley Meadows in French Lick.
Born February 21, 1947, in Passmore Hollow, he was the son of James Thomas Passmore and Lydia Levina (Tincher) Passmore. He married Patricia “Pat” Ann Williams on October 8, 1966, and she survives.
Roy was a 1965 graduate of Mitchell High School. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War. During his life, Roy worked at Carpenter Body Works, Dana Corporation, and was a custodian at Mitchell High School. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and helping others however he could. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia “Pat” Ann Passmore; children, Chuck (Dana) Passmore and Lydia Passmore; grandchildren, Ava (Tylor) Fink, and Jordan (Sheila) Triplett; great-grandchildren, Jeremy Triplett and Mya Triplett; siblings, Larry “Plug” (Linda) Passmore, Mary Brewer, and Vickee Garrison; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
His parents; grandson, Joshua Triplett; siblings, Jimmy, Ralph, Lena Mae, Don, Kenny, Robert, Charles, Ronnie, Evelynn, and Jean; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, preceded him in death.
Cremation has been chosen. No services will be held at this time, but the family will accept condolences in the mail at Springs Valley Meadows, c/o Pat Passmore, 457 IN-145, Room 104, French Lick, IN 47432.
