MITCHELL Roy W. Catozzi, 81, Mitchell, passed away at 9:20 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2008, at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center.

Born July 4, 1927, in Bedford, he was the son of Henry Enrico and Ilar Pearl (Biddy) Catozzi. He married Marilyn Doub July 30, 1950, and she preceded him in death June 5, 1988.

He was a custodian at Burris School and retired with 42 years of service. Roy was a Boy Scout leader, a charter member of the White River Bow Hunters, and a member of the Mitchell Masonic Lodge No. 228 F&AM, and Mitchell Presbyterian Church.

A U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 250.

Zachary and Michael Catozzi

His parents, wife; son, Todd Catozzi; brothers, Henry, Carl, Jay, and Sylvester Catozzi; and sisters, Gilda Godsey and Pauline Stotts, preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 24, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Rev. C. Allen Colwell and Rev. Dwight Dunbar officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery with military honors accorded by Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 250 and Marvin R. Davis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.

Friends may call from 4:00 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Casketbearers: Tony Catozzi, Tom Catozzi, Tammy Parks, Michael Catozzi, Zachary Catozzi, and Charles Parks.
