 BEDFORD – Scott Stanley Wampler, 61, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at his residence.

Born September 16, 1957, in Bedford, he was the son of Lloyd Emil and Carolyn Sue (Chastain) Wampler.

Scott had recently retired from CSX Railroad with 40 years of service.  He graduated from Orleans High School in 1975 and enjoyed hunting and the outdoors.

Joe Wampler of Bloomington

His parents preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 11, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Reverend Jerry Hillenburg officiating.  Burial will be in Lawrenceport Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Sunday and from 10:00 a.m. until the service on Monday at the funeral home.

    Jason, sorry to hear about the passing if your Dad. It is extremely difficult losing a parent. It is more difficult when you have a close relationship with that parent.
