BEDFORD – Sharon Diane Mundy, 80, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025, at White River Lodge.

Born July 21, 1944, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Hershel and Bessie (Deaver) Mundy.

Sharon was a 1962 graduate of Huron High School.  She retired from PRD, Inc. as a press operator.  Sharon was a member of the Bryantsville Church of Christ.  She was a huge IU basketball and Cincinnati Reds fan, and also loved bingo and going to casinos.  Sharon liked to have fun and never met a stranger.  But above all, she loved her family. 

Surviving are her daughter, Shayna Peña of Bedford; grandson, Ari Peña of Bedford; brother, Noble (Phyllis) Mundy; best friend, Linda Sue Reynolds of Mitchell; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.

Her parents and infant brother, Gary Mundy, preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Reverend Reggie Clark officiating.  Burial will be in Bryantsville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
