MITCHELL – Steven Bryan Cook, 60, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.
Born December 26, 1964, in Mitchell, he was the son of Walter Eugene and Norma Jean (Watson) Cook. He married Janet Michelle Johnson in 1982 and she preceded her in death in 2021.
Steven previously was the owner of Cook’s Garage Doors. He loved watching NASCAR racing.
Surviving are his children, Allison Dodgen of Tennessee and Zakary Dodgen of Tennessee; grandchildren, Ryan Dodgen, Abigail Halvorson and Hazel Halvorson, all of Tennessee; and sisters, Teresa Barnett of Flora and Patricia Cottengaim of Mitchell.
His parents and siblings, Gary Cook and Gina Layman, preceded him in death.
Cremation has been chosen.
