ORLEANS — Steven D. McFarland, 50, passed at 8:28 a.m. Sunday, January 1, 2012, at Indiana University Health Paoli Hospital.

Born February 3, 1961, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Samuel and Elva Mae (Conner) McFarland. He married Cathy Phipps June 3, 1994.

He was employed at Hoosier Cut Stone.

Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 6, at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Mike Hester officiating.

Friends may call from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at Chastain Funeral Home.

    To my mom,sisters and extened bro and sis, Dad will be greatly missed and just knowing he is at peace and not in any pain makes it alil easier.... Just know that we ALL have each other to cry on or just talk. He is our angel watching over us. We will get thru this. LOVE ALL OF YOU
