WILLIAMS Suella L. “Suzie” Martin, 67, passed away at 7:37 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2012, at IU Health Bloomington.

Born June 13, 1945, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Ralph K. and Ruth “Curley” (Webster) Wray. She was formerly married to Larry D. Martin.

She was owner of Bedford Telephone Answering Service for 20 years. Suzie graduated from Mitchell High School in 1963, and was also a graduate of Cosmetology School of Indianapolis.

Her parents and brother, Robert D. Wray, preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 25, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Rev. Richard Tallman and Pastor Harold Godsey officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday and from 10:00 a.m. until the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

    I'm so sorry to hear of Suzie's passing. She and I were members of the Mitchell High School class of 1963 and she cut my hair back in the late 60's. My condolences to the entire family.

    Tobi, Jami, L. D. & families, I'm so sorry for your loss. Your mom was a special lady and I know she will be greatly missed. Words from the song "If You Only Knew" by The Inspirations helped me a great deal when my mom died, maybe it will comfort you. You're in my thoughts and prayers.
