BEDFORD – Susan Lee Westfall, 61, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at her residence.

Born January 22, 1964, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Oakleigh and Phyllis (Miracle) Westfall.

Susan was a graduate of Mitchell High School and received her master’s degree in audiology from Ball State University.  She was a dedicated daughter, and that dedication extended into her work.  Susan worked as an audiologist in nursing homes all across the state and she always made sure to provide the best quality care for her clients.  She would go above and beyond to make sure that their needs were met.  Susan attended the Mitchell Presbyterian Church and was an avid reader in her free time.

Surviving are her children, Teresa Westfall of Bloomington and Joshua Freeman of Jeffersonville; parents, Oakleigh and Phyllis Westfall of Bedford; and siblings, Lisa (Gil) Milburn-Westfall of Colorado and David (Claire) Westfall of Washington State.

Cremation has been chosen.

    Dear Phyllis, Oakleigh, Lisa ,David , Teresa,, Josh and family.. I was heartbroken today to learn of Susan's passing. I have been very close to the Westfall family for many years, playing piano and organ with Phyllis at Mitchell Presbyterian Church. I have always known Susan to be the most giving and kind-hearted and compassionate person. She was always so sweet and we had many fun experiences at church together! I pray for God's love and presence to be close to your hearts as you navigate this difficult time of loss. My heart breaks for all of you! You will be in my thoughts and prayers!

    Dear Phyllis, Oakleigh, Lisa, David, Teresa, and Josh Susan was a good friend and faithful servant. I remember her from my first piano lesson. Her bright beautiful eyes and sweet smile peeking around the corner. Her sweet smile and blonde curls watching her grow up in our church family.
