MITCHELL – Thelma M. Connerley, 93, passed away at 2:15 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2013, at Garden Villa in Bedford.

Born March 22, 1920, in Mitchell, she was the daughter of Dearl and Thelma (Edwards) Cooper. She married Lowell F. Connerley June 30, 1951, and he preceded her in death February 25, 1984.

Thelma was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mitchell.

Surviving: daughter, Nancy Cogwell, Mitchell
step-daughter, Mildred Kobus, Illinois

Joyce Trafton, Lakeland, Florida

Her parents; husband; and brothers, Archie and Edward Wayne Cooper preceded her in death.

Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 10, at Mitchell Cemetery.

There will be no visitation at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

I really loved taking care of Thelma and hearing her stories (especially "Little Orphan Annie"). She was a wonderful lady and we loved her dearly. I will remember her fondly.

Nancy, Was sorry to hear of your moms passing. When I told Mom, I didn't have to do the geneology thing to explain who she was....she knew right off. She said that's Nancys mother. Your family will be in our prayers Janet

Thelma was a very kind and sweet lady who i very much enjoyed taking care of . I will miss her alot, but knowing she has gone on to be with the Lord.
