MITCHELL – Vernon Ray Daughterty, 68, Mitchell, passed away at 6:23 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2005, at Bedford Regional Medical Center.
Born February 16, 1936, in Mitchell, he was the son of Shirley and Ida Mae (Aynes) Daugherty. He married Gabriella Patroni August 19, 1991 and she survives.
He was a retired employee of General Electric and a taxi driver. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and a graduate of Oakland City University.

His parents preceded him in death.
Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 3, at Mitchell Cemetery with military honors accorded by Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 250 and Marvin R. Davis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
