BLOOMINGTON – Vicky Gayle “Susie” Lancaster, 67, formerly of Mitchell, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016, at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital.

Born May 3, 1949, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Gilbert and Irene (McNeely) Dorsett.

Vicky graduated from Mitchell High School in 1967, and was self-employed.  She resided in Indio, California for many years.  She was an avid reader, loved gardening, playing cards, and being with friends and family.  Vicky was a member and past president of the American Legion Post No. 250 Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Mary Lou (Bill) Case, William R. “Buss” (Pauline) Dorsett, Beverly Mann Earl, Ricky D. Dorsett, and an infant brother, Rufus Gilbert, Jr.; and niece, Kelly Mann.

Cremation was chosen and the burial and celebration of life will be in the spring.

    My Condolences To all the family Especially Kristy Mann Stacey Earl And Stephanie. Who I considered them all family , I was only 4 yrs old when I meet aunt Susie and she was the sweet person ever I loved her like If she were my aunt! She will be truly missed but never forgotten!!!
