MITCHELL — Virginia Rose “Genny” Grider, 73, passed away December 13, 2021, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born July 5, 1948, in Mitchell, she was the daughter of William “Bill” and Betty Rose (Moore) Tincher.  She married Charles Grider in 1975.

Genny had been employed at RCA and Dana Corporation.  She loved spending time outdoors riding horses on the horse trails and enjoyed the Horseman’s Camp.

                                  sons, Brian (Meloni) Cassidy of Orleans

                                           Mike (Brandi) Cassidy of Mitchell

                          step sons, John (Chastain) Grider of Columbus

                                          Michael Grider

                  grandchildren, Adrian Cassidy, Taylor Cassidy, Aaron Richards, and Alex

                                          Cassidy

                                sister, Elaine “Korki” (Tincher) Lagenour of Fort Ritner

Her parents and brothers, David Tincher and William “Bop” Tincher, preceded her in death.

Cremation was chosen with no service.

    I am so sorry to read the news on Ginny. I really enjoyed her while I worked in Mitchell. She brought joy to many days when I needed it. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
