MITCHELL Virginia Rose White, 84, Mitchell, passed away at 6:03 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2011, at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital in Bedford.

Born May 2, 1927, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Harvey W. and Maude (Terry) Nugent.

She was formerly employed at M. Fine & Son and had served as union president of VAW. Virginia was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Surviving: daughter,
Sandra S. (Philip D.) Asbury, Mitchell
8 grandchildren
17 great grandchildren
6 great great grandchildren

Her parents; son, Phillip Dean Hall; sisters, Dorothy Mae Nugent, Mary Ellen Nugent, Pauline Nugent, and Gladys Nugent; and brother, Harvey W. Nugent, Jr., preceded her in death.

Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 1, at Knott Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday at Chastain Funeral Home.
