MITCHELL — Walter H. “Stibe” Little, 83, Mitchell, passed away at 2:30 a.m. Thursday, July 15, 2010, at Bloomington Hospital.

Born February 14, 1927, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Richard and Florence (Albertson) Little. He married Sue Ann Graves on June 7, 1957.

He retired from GM Powertrain and was a member of Tulip Street Christian Church. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War and had attended Mitchell High School.

His parents; sisters, Bessie Murr and Mary Phillips; and brothers, Ed Little and John Robert “Johnny Bob” Little, preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 17, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Dunbar officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.

Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:30 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
