MITCHELL — Warren G. Colglazier, 89, Mitchell, passed away at 4:58 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2010, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin.

Born October 16, 1920, in Bedford, he was the son of Claude and Bertha (Allegre) Colglazier. He married Francille Imo McDonald November 26, 1943, and she preceded him in death November 20, 2007.

He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and served in the 104th Infantry Division (Timberwolves).

He was a farmer and graduated from Williams High School in 1939. He was a member of the Huron Baptist Church where he had been a deacon, and was a member of the Mitchell Masonic Lodge No.228 F&AM, charter member of the Lawrence County 4-H Fair Board and 4-H leader, and the Brown Swiss Association.

His parents; wife; sisters, Lillian Williams, Ruth Purlee, Olive Larsen, and Lucille Colglazier; and brothers, Frank Sears and Willard Colglazier; and son-in-law, Al Swaim, preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 Sunday, January 10, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Burial will be in Bryantsville Cemetery with military honors accorded by Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 250 and Marvin R. Davis Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 9107.

Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday and from 11:30 a.m. until the service on Sunday at the funeral home.

Mitchell Masonic Lodge will conduct a memorial service at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
