MITCHELL Wayne L. Pridemore, 77, Mitchell, passed away at 5:04 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2009, at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center.
Born August 19, 1931, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Elza and Grace (Bex) Pridemore. He married Loretta Toliver December 29, 1956.
He retired from Carpenter Body Works and was a member of the Bryantsville Church of Christ.
Wayne was a U. S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

His parents and brother, Gerald Pridemore, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 30, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Bolton officiating. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery with military honors accorded by Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 250 and Marvin R. Davis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
