HURON Wendell H. King, 88, Huron, passed away at 4:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, at his residence.

Born October 22, 1917, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Garfield and Hattie Ellen (Pruett) King. He married Alberta Irene Prewitt January 2, 1945.

He retired as a supervisor on the railroad at Naval Surface Warfare CenterCrane.

He was a member of the Fairview Church of Christ, a 50-year member of Mitchell Masonic Lodge No. 228 F. & A. M., and Scottish Rite Valley of Evansville.

His parents; granddaughter, Tammy Jo Grissom; brothers, Clarence and Roy King; and sisters, Blanche Mundy and Maggie Barlow, preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 2, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Brother Richard Holt officiating. Burial will be in Huron Cemetery with military honors accorded by Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 250 and Marvin R. Davis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.

Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:30 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
