 MITCHELL – William Ronald “Ronnie” Williams, 80, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at his residence.

Born March 31, 1938, in Lawrence County, he was the son of William E. and Ellen  (Walker) Williams.  He married Donna J. Kenney October 1, 1960.

Ronnie was a general contractor and for twenty years operated Williams Wares and U-Haul.  He graduated from Mitchell High School in 1957 and was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

His parents, son, William Robert Williams, and grandson, Ty Kellams, preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 18, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Melvin Dale Matthews   officiating.   Private burial will be on Tuesday in Mitchell Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday and from noon until the service on Monday at the funeral home.

    Denny and Gary, so sorry to read about Ronnie. I can still remember the 70's when i worked at the Crawford Morris Labor Company bringing you all lumber when the whole family were ALL building houses! Can still hear him saying, "what am i supposed to do with this stuff, were building a house, NOT rocking chairs. We don't have time to set around here. Take that junk back"! And i would. We have lived the best of times years ago. Prayers to all the family.
